Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced that India and the European Union have made substantial progress in their Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations, with 10 out of 20 chapters closed and several more on the verge of convergence. Speaking after the Berlin Global Dialogue, Goyal said negotiations were progressing towards a fair, equitable and balanced agreement that recognizes mutual sensitivities and strengthens trade, investment and technological ties. He also highlighted India’s growing global stature under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, calling the country a voice of the South and a hub of youth, innovation and sustainable growth.
