This occurs a few days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with the head of the European Union Ursula von der Leyen and praised the block proposal for a new strategic program to raise bilateral relations with India at a higher level and accelerate a free trade agreement, despite concerns about New Delhi’s relations with Russia.
The European Commission and the High Representative have adopted joint communication describing a “new EU-Indian strategic program”, marking an important step in India-EU relations, according to an official EU press release. This new program focused on the increase in trade and investment, strengthening economic security, deepening industrial cooperation and the increase in regional connectivity.
Meanwhile, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz condemned the repeated Incursions of Russia on NATO on Monday and stressed that the United States and its allies “will defend NATO territory every centimeter”.
The envoy also called Russia, which is a permanent member of the CSNU, “to maintain international peace and security, to respect the sovereignty of its neighbors, to stop violating their airspace. And I call Russia to negotiate directly with Ukraine to end this war. ”
However, Russia rejected the allegations of Estonia on Monday that Russian fighter planes violated the latter’s air space and have warned that countries that bear such accusations were likely to “degenerate tensions”.
Meanwhile, France has become the last European country to officially recognize Palestine as a state. Sunday, Great Britain, Canada, Australia and Portugal recognized Palestine’s state.
This wave of recognition represents a significant difference in the long -standing Western position that the Palestinian state should only emerge as the result of direct negotiations with Israel.
