New Delhi, August 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke Wednesday with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, with discussions focused on the Ukrainian conflict, bilateral cooperation and the Indian-EU free trade agreement, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
According to the MEA, President Stubb shared his assessment of recent high -level meetings in Washington between European, American and Ukrainian leaders on efforts to resolve the conflict. Prime Minister Modi reiterated the constant support of India to dialogue and peaceful regulations, stressing the importance of early restoration of peace and stability.

The two leaders also examined the ongoing bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen links in new and emerging fields such as Quantum Technologies, 6G, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sustainability.
President Stubb reiterated Finland’s support for an early conclusion of an India-Ue Mutually beneficial free trade agreement and prolonged support at the top of the IA impact to be organized by India in 2026.
Prime Minister Modi invited President Stubb to visit India, the two leaders agreeing to stay in close contact.
Thinking about their conversation, Prime Minister Modi posted on X: “had a good conversation with President Alexander Stubb. Finland is a precious partner in the EU. The means discussed to strengthen cooperation in trade, technology and sustainability.
President Stubb, in his article, said: “A good conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We discussed the need for a just and lasting solution to the Russian war in Ukraine. India plays an important role. We have also agreed to deepen India-EU relations. ”
