BRUSSELS (Reuters)-The European Union could not say that when a joint statement on prices with the United States was ready, or when the White House issued an executive decree on the import rights of European cars, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The EU and the United States have concluded a trade agreement at the end of July, but only the 15% reference rate on European exports has so far had come into force last week. EU officials previously declared that a joint declaration would follow the “very soon” agreement as well as the decrees of US President Donald Trump on the keys.
“This is an agreement that we think we are strong and the best we can have … Of course, we expect the United States to take other measures that are part of this agreement, but I do not think that at this stage, we can put a calendar on these commitments,” said the spokesman for the European Commission.
