India is negotiating trade deals with the US, EU, New Zealand, Oman, Peru and Chile. Focus on the free movement of goods and services.
He also said that the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) would be happy to partner with the state government to develop a world-class convention center – Andhra Mandapam – like Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The minister added that reducing trade barriers globally would help promote the free movement of goods, services and capital.
India has already implemented free trade agreements with countries such as the UAE, Australia and four countries from the European EFTA bloc.
“We are currently negotiating with the EU, the US, Oman, New Zealand, Chile and Peru and many others, wanting us to start negotiations,” he said here at the CII Partnership Summit 2025.
To facilitate business, he said the Center has removed as many as 42,000 compliances and abolished 1,500 laws.
