Italian Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani recently met the Indian Minister for External Affairs Jaishankar and the Minister of Commerce, Piyush Goyal, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York and expressed his country’s commitment to the finalization of India-EU FTA. In an article on X, Tajani called the “important” meeting and said that it would visit India in the coming months.
“In New York, I also had important meetings with the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs @Drsjaishankar and the Minister of Commerce @piyushgoyal,” wrote Tajani.
“Italy and India share a strategic political and economic partnership that we intend to strengthen with my new visit to India in the coming months,” he added.
“I confirmed Italy’s support for a rapid finalization of the free trade agreement,” he concluded.
