Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb had talks about the Ukrainian conflict, strengthening the links of India-EU and expanding cooperation in fields such as trade, technology and sustainability. The two leaders highlighted the importance of a peaceful resolution for the war in Ukraine, with Stubb stressing the respected world role in India and the Prime Minister modifying Finland as a partner of the precious EU.
The Finnish president said he had a “good conversation” with Prime Minister Modi, focusing on the war in Ukraine and India-EU. “We discussed the need for a just and lasting solution to the Russian war in Ukraine. The end of the war is in all our interests, it is a shared objective,” wrote Stubb on X, formerly Twitter.
The world role of India has highlighted
The Finnish leader underlined the growing influence of India in world diplomacy. “India plays an important role. It is understood and respected in the South, the West and the East,” said Stubb, stressing the importance of New Delhi’s engagement in conflict resolution.
Deeper Cooperation in India
By strengthening bilateral and regional partnerships, Stubb said: “We have also agreed to further deepen relations between India and the EU. Our cooperation develops and continues. ”
PM Modi: Finland an “appreciated partner”
Prime Minister Modi has also shared details on talks, calling Finland a trusted partner in Europe.
“Has a good conversation with President Alexander Stubb. Finland is a precious partner in the EU. The means have discussed cooperation in key sectors such as trade, technology and sustainability,” he posted on X.
Shared vision for peace
Prime Minister Modi confirmed that discussions also mentioned the conflict in Ukraine. “Exchanged from the prospects on the current efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine,” added the Prime Minister.
India, Finland to stimulate links in quantum technology, 6G, AI: PMO
Prime Minister Modi and Finnish President have examined progress in the Bilateral India-Finland partnership and have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation in emerging fields such as Quantum Technologies, 6G, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sustainability, said Prime Minister’s office (PMO), as well as PTI.
According to the PMO declaration, Stubb also expressed its support for the success of the IA Impact summit, which India will host in 2026.
Globally, the Finnish President informed Prime Minister Modi of his assessment of the recent meetings held in Washington between European leaders, the United States and Ukraine on the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
