
The Minister of the Union and the Minister of Industry, Piyush Goyal, on June 1, on June 1) began his official three -day visit to France, as part of his current visit in France and Italy from June 1 to 5.
In a press release, the Ministry of Commerce said The fact that the visit reflects the continuous commitment of India to deepen strategic and economic links with the main European partners and to advance a shared vision for resilient and inclusive global growth.
In France, the Minister Goyal will hold bilateral meetings with senior French officials, including the Minister of the Economy Eric Lombard and the Minister of Commerce Laurent Saint-Martin.
The discussions aim to extend the indo-French economic partnership and to explore new paths to stimulate bilateral trade and investment.
A key point of the France leg will be the commitments of Goyal with the main direction of the major French companies such as Vicat, Total Energies, L’Oréal, Renault, Valeo, EDF and ATR.
He will also participate in the Round Table of India-France Affairs and in the CEO forum, which brought together the main stakeholders in the industry to promote commercial and investment collaboration.
Goyal’s visit also includes participation in an informal rally of the WTO ministers on the sidelines of the OECD Ministerial Council meeting.
During the forum, he should hire global counterparts on pressing multilateral commercial problems and present India’s priorities on world trade reforms.
The Minister will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior leaders of the United Kingdom, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Nigeria and Brazil.
These interactions aim to strengthen India’s commercial partnerships between regions and should support the momentum in the negotiations of the Indian-EU (ALE) free trade agreement.
In addition, Goyal should meet EU personalities, including Maroš Šefčovič, a commissioner for trade and economic security, and Christophe Hansen, European commissioner for agriculture and food.
These discussions more India’s efforts to build robust bilateral and regional commercial executives in accordance with alignment with global economic changes.
After the conclusion of his commitments in France, Goyal will go to Italy for the second stage of his European visit.
