
The 13th edition of Reunion India-Italy Military Cooperation Group (MCG) was successfully organized from March 20 to 21 in Rome of Italy.
The meeting was co-chaired by the deputy deputy deputy chief of the integrated defense staff IDC (A) of the registered staff of the integrated defense staff (IDS HQ), representative of India, and the deputy chief of the strategic management and the military cooperation division of the Italian Defense Staff, representing Italy.
Discussions focused on identifying new paths to extend the scope of bilateral military cooperation.
The key agenda included improved exchange programs, capacity development efforts and the strengthening of collaboration between the Indian and Italian armed forces. The meeting also examined the current defense commitments, assessing their progress and exploring the means to optimize future interactions.
The MCG serves as a key institutional mechanism to improve defense cooperation between the armed forces of the two nations, promoting military commitments to stronger soldiers and strategic collaboration.
