
India and the European Union will hold the next series of talks on the free trade agreement (ALE) proposed from March 10 to 14, a government official said on Monday. The additional secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Satya Srinivas, said that before the Tour, the whole delegation of the European Commission would be in India from February 28. A few days before the visit of the European Commission team, the British State Minister for commercial policy, Douglas Alexander, will be in India for a meeting with the Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on February 24.
On February 25, officials of India and the United Kingdom will restart the talks to the free trade agreement.
“We took stock where we went to the last round (14th) and we will make him move on during the visit,” said Satya Srinivas.
